    Lack of iron: symptoms

Iron is essential for our daily well-being, as it plays an important role in the proper functioning of the organism. This mineral is a fundamental component of hemoglobin, the protein that transports oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body, and myoglobin, the protein that provides oxygen to the muscles. It is also necessary for the activity of certain enzymes and for the production of different hormones.

Iron deficiency reduces the ability of the blood to carry oxygen in the amount necessary to meet the needs of all tissues and organs of the body and this can cause fatigue, weakness, pallor, cold extremities, brittle nails, hair loss, lack of concentration, headaches and dizziness.

    Iron deficiency: causes

Iron deficiency can be caused by a reduced dietary intake, moreover

Those who practice endurance sports or intense exercise are more prone to this lack, as well as women who have the menstrual cycle with abundant flow. This condition can also be the consequence of poor iron absorption (introduced with nutrition) caused by intestinal disorders, such as diarrhea and irritable bowel, or the presence of chronic intestinal disorders or celiac disease.

Iron deficiency is also very frequent in women during pregnancy and lactation, as in these periods the body requires a much higher need for iron.

    Treatments

To fill this lack it is useful to follow a varied diet that includes foods rich in iron alongside foods with a high content of vitamin C that improve the absorption of this element. It is also advisable to take food supplements such as Ferramina Forte Morgan Pharma, which contributes to the normal functioning of energy metabolism, the formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin, improves oxygen transport, and together with folic acid strengthens the functions of the immune system. The latter also contributes to the growth of maternal tissues in pregnancy and normal psychological function.

Ferramina Forte also contains vitamin C, which plays an antioxidant activity and helps the absorption of iron reducing stress and fatigue. This supplement is available in capsule format to be taken whole swallowing or dissolved in water, but also in stick format to be taken in the mouth without water. For pregnant women the latter format is preferable. Ferramina Forte has no metallic taste thanks to the presence of the liposomal casing, it does not cause nausea and offers high absorption without causing constipation or gastrointestinal disorders.
